In July of 2006, DellaRuba Chocolatier opened to rave reviews at their new location in the heart of scenic Port Jefferson Village

Founded in 1993 as Candy Lane Chocolatier continues the tradition of hand crafted chocolates of the highest quality that established Candy Lane as one of Long Island's premier chocolatiers.

“It always smells so good in here!” is what we hear every day from our customers. When you open the front door at DellaRuba Chocolatier, you immediately breath in the sweet chocolate aroma. Our showroom is brimming with our many handmade chocolates and confections.

President and Chocolate Chef Richard Rubino sets the highest standards of quality and texture for each batch of candy he makes at DellaRuba Chocolatier. Utilizing his knowledge of chocolate and his 18 years experience as a confectioner, he cooks every batch of candy from scratch.

Since they do not use preservatives in their chocolates, Mr. Rubino makes small batches to ensure the consistency and freshness of his product. Each piece is immediately hand dipped at the peak of its flavor and freshness in one of four types of sumptuous chocolate.

“In an age of prepackaged, mass produced chocolates,” says Mr. Rubino, “ We take great pride in the large selection of handcrafted chocolates we offer.” Starting with over a dozen types of sinfully decadent Truffles, to the Old World Marzipan, to the chewy Vanilla Caramels, signature Raspberry Jellies and incredibly popular Almond Butter Crunch, DellaRuba Chocolatier guarantees that your chocolate experience will always be spectacular.
